Clive Vale continued their excellent start to the season with a fifth straight win at a cold, wet and windy Wadhurst.

Asking their hosts to bat, Wadhurst were indebted to Le Boudec’s 68 in their small total. Good bowling in appalling conditions from Liam Stamp 2/16, Adam Wickens 2/22 and Guy Wenham 5/18 aided by good catches from Chris Kirkham (2) and Tom Gibbons kept the score down

In reply Vale were struggling on 19/3 until skipper Carl Brook calmed the nerves with an excellent 70 which included five sixes. Once Carl departed Rob Potter 10 not out and Matt Bowles 6 not out finished off the game.
