Vale made it two wins out of two in this year's Twenty20 Observer Cup by seeing off a spirited but out-classed Parkhurst side.
From the very first over a large score looked on the cards as opener D.Mortimer carried his bat for an undefeated 70, while Scott Price made 45 and skipper Steve Brook hit 64 not out. The pick of the Parkhurst attack was J.Mott (1-30).
Parkhurst began well in reply as M.Stzuber (11), M.Sheppard (25) and Mott (21) steered them to 50-1 off seven overs but once they departed the runs dried up. Vale used seven bowlers with the most successful being Mortimer (2-6) and James Pilbeam (2-3).
