Tunbridge Wells 3rd team entertained Clive Vale in a hastily rearranged game on Sunday.
Tunbrige Wells won the toss and elected to bat. The decision looked a bit dodgy early on as they were reduced to 72/5. This was due to good bowling from captain Darren Mortimer who took 3/24. However the tide would turn as the Wells batsmen returned to form with Fyson 33, Jenner 76, and Patterson 27 getting runs to take the score to 246/7 at tea.
After a lovely tea Vale took on the task of reaching their big target but their task was made much harder when in form opener Carl Brook was out early. M.Everest 30 and A.Wickens 26 took the score past 50 till Adam was out. Mark (Boycott) Everest stood firm grinding out 30 to equal his highest score. After this it was pretty routing for Tunbridge Wells with only Guy Wenham 34 troubling the home side who eventually bowled Vale out for 143 to complete the win by 103 runs.
