2008 end of season summary.

Although the Clive Vale squad was techncially stronger this year than last year, the 2008 season unfortunately did not see the same winning results as last year with Vale suffering a number of losses.

In total we won 3, drew 1 and lost 11 with 6 cancelled fixtures.

Returning player Carl Brook batted well, averaging over 50 and scoring nearly 500 runs. Another good season for Adam Wickens saw his batting improve on last year averaging over 34 and contributing with the ball with 13 wickets.

Steve Brook topped the bowling averages by taking 9 wickets at an average of 14.56 with Darren Mortimer coming second with 15 wickets at and average of 18.2.

Compared to last year, although we have scored more runs overall - 2007 (1450 runs), 2008 (2112 runs), the number of wickets taken was less compared to last year - 2007 (121 wickets), 2008 (82 wickets).
